Where does LeaseInfo source its lease information?
LeaseInfo’s data is primarily drawn from registered leases purchased directly from the Land Titles Offices or their equivalents in each state or territory. We add to this with information from reputable, first-hand sources such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
How accurate is the data?
LeaseInfo uses a two-phase checking process, in which the top level of scrutiny is provided by a manager with years of experience in commercial rental leases.
How are leases registered?
The relevant regulations differ from state to state. Commonly, in NSW, Qld, the ACT and NT the period between signing the lease and registering the document at the Land Titles Office is six to nine months. Naturally, LeaseInfo can only access the leases once they have been registered.
How are CPI rent reviews calculated?
Where leases have annual rental increases by CPI, the current rent calculation is based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ CPI tables.
Can I get lease data for centres and strips you don’t currently cover?
LeaseInfo may be able to acquire data for other properties; please contact us for more information.
Can I order a copy of the lease?
Yes, you can order a copy of a lease by clicking the ‘ORDER’ button next to the lease record you are viewing. Subscribers received a certain number of lease copies as part of their subscription (the number varies according to subscription level).
Can I print a report?
You certainly can, just remember to select ‘A4 landscape’ in your device’s print settings.
How do I export data to a spreadsheet?
The process of exporting the data from a report into a spreadsheet such as Excel is controlled by the user’s computer, but most users can achieve the desired result by right-clicking on the report and choosing the ‘Export to Microsoft Excel’ option.
